Ocean Safety and Waterman Skills

November 22nd 8 am - 5 PM*

This course is open to anyone 16+ who wants to develop real ocean safety skills. Whether you're new to the ocean or a seasoned waterman, you'll walk away with knowledge and confidence that could save a life, yours or someone else's, as well as make you feel more confident overall in the ocean.

What You'll Learn:

• Ocean Safety and Awareness
• Rip Current Identification and Navigation
• Surf Spot Analysis
• Apnea and Breath- Hold Technique
• Water Rescue 

What to Bring:

• Wetsuit/ Booties (Can Be Rented)

• Towel

• Backpack

• Snacks and Lunch/ Plenty of Water

• Comfortable Clothes/ Towel for Breathwork

• Pen and Paper for lecture/ Chair or Pad to sit on

Schedule:

8 am -8:30 Introductions

8:30 - 10:00 Breath Hold Practice

10 am - 12 pm (Ocean Safety and Water Skills Lecture)

12 pm - 1 pm Lunch

1 PM - 5 PM Practical Application
